Staying strong when you feel like giving in...

The world is not fair, or easy, nor does it always make sense.. in fact it RARELY does. Bad things happen to good people, and all too often it seems good things happen to bad people. Women are given babies only to turn around and have abortions, other women struggle for years and never conceive. So what happens when day after day everything you have ever wanted happens to every single person around you, but not you? Women struggling with infertility face a unique struggle, we are literally surrounded by children and pregnancy, avoiding children is quite simply impossible (supermarket, doctors office, walking down the street, Facebook, instagram, pinterest- BABIES EVERYWHERE). We can't just "forget" about our pain because we are reminded daily of our broken parts. This is due to the simple fact that we are human, despite our best efforts we feel pain, we get scared, we feel jealousy and anger, we feel doubt, and we wonder if we will ever get the desires of our hearts. So how is it possible to keep fighting when every time you stand up you get knocked down again?
Luckily for us, our God is not human! He is graceful, faithful, loving, and invincible. He is all knowing; so when we worry we are focusing on the human aspect of our lives and often forget that we have the Almighty God in our corner. We serve a God who loves us more than we can humanly understand, and though he doesn't want us to suffer, but he does want us to TRUST. When our bodies fail us it is easy to blame God, but look at Sarah, or Hannah, in the Bible they waited and waited and waited until they finally put their faith in God and were given sons. So when you are at rock bottom, when you literally have nothing left in you to keep fighting rest assured that God is picking you up and fighting for you all the while hoping that you trust His perfect plan.

Psalm 37:4 "Take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."

  1. It is so true! Trusting in His plan is so hard when you're in the trenches of infertility. And yet, it is the only way to our hearts desire. I love this post!
