Mourning your dreams...and moving forward

Hello My Lovelies!
I had a conversation today with a close friend of mine who recently suffered a devastating miscarriage and I know she is not alone in her struggle. While I personally have never had the chance to conceive, I do understand mourning. Those who struggle with infertility (regardless if it's the inability to conceive, inability to carry, etc) are faced with the very real possibility of never having a child of their own to hold and raise. Something that is supposed to be the one thing we are created to do as human beings. The pain of loss whether its through miscarriage or the inability to conceive period is a type of loss that often times is without a face. When people in our lives leave us, we are usually able to come to terms with the loss and move forward focusing on the good times, but with infertility there is often nothing to hold onto-nothing to help us move forward. While most of us try as hard as we can to hold onto our dreams, one day we may be faced with the very real possibility that our dreams may never come true. We may sit in our rooms late at night, wishing on broken stars crying out for a dream that is out of our reach while never fully being able to mourn and move forward because this isn't something a woman should be forced to let go of. The pain is especially real those days where another "mommy friend" complains that her children are driving her nuts, or laughs about how easy it is for her to get pregnant, or that heart wrenching moment when a child tells their mother they love them.

So I have a challenge for you all to bring peace of mind (even for those that have not yet given up), write a letter to your future child, name that child, create a life story for him/her, pour every ounce of pain and sorrow you have into that letter, and tie it to a balloon(or put it in a bottle and drop it into the ocean) and set it free. Remember, for those that have lost a baby-the first face your precious little one saw was the Lord's(how amazing is this to think about?), and for those that never got the chance, God has great things in store for you that will bless you a thousand times more than any dream you could ever have for yourself. Remember, God will NEVER give us more than we can handle, we only have to drop our burdens at the foot of the cross! I am praying for you all and love you all so much!! -Jaylee
